The Health and Safety in Employment Act was amended in 2002 with a new objective of the Act to promote the health and safety of everyone at work and of other people in or around places of work. To achieve this, it requires people who are responsible for work and those who do the work to take steps to ensure their own health and safety and that of others.  

We an extensive knowledge about health and safety gained over the past 20 years. In 2004 Jeremy developed and gained approval to deliver his Comprehensive Health and Safety Representatives course. This course received ERE funding in 2004 and was the only Health and Safety Representative Course that continued to receive ERE funding until the 2009 / 2010 round. Jeremy delivered this course on behalf of Land Based Training, closing out the contract in May 2010. 

We provide Health and Safety related courses and assessment on behalf of the New Zealand Industry Training Organisation (to Level 5) and InfraTrain (to Level 4). Courses that have been developed and assessment is available for a large range of subjects from Confined Space Entry, Issuing Work Permits to Safe Lifting and Slinging. 

Jeremy is contracted to write InfraTrain's resources for US 20198 Identify the roles and responsibilities of the health and safety representative in the workplace and 17596 Demonstrate knowledge of Safety Observer responsibilities in the workplace and is presently applying for approval from ERE for his latest health and safety representative course.
